Abdiel AI ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). This policy explains what information we collect through abdielsystems.com, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.

1. Who we are

Abdiel AI is an AI automation agency based in Johannesburg, South Africa. For any privacy-related query, you can reach us at hello@abdielsystems.com.

2. What information we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us. Depending on how you interact with the site, this may include:

• Contact form ("Get in Touch"): your full name, work email, phone/WhatsApp number (optional), company name, and a short description of what you'd like help with. Optionally, which services interest you, your monthly budget range, and your timeline.
• Free ROI Calculator: your email address, if you ask us to send you the full breakdown.
• Exit-intent prompt: your email address, if you choose to provide it before leaving the site.
• Automatically, via analytics: standard usage data such as pages visited, approximate location (country/city level), device type, and how you found the site — collected only if you accept analytics cookies (see Section 6).

We do not collect payment information, ID numbers, or any special personal information as defined by POPIA.

3. Why we collect it

We use your information to:

• Respond to your enquiry and follow up about the services you've asked about;
• Prepare for and schedule a discovery call, if you request one;
• Send you the information you've specifically asked for (e.g. an ROI breakdown);
• Understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it (only with analytics consent).

Our legal basis for processing this information is your consent (you volunteer it by submitting a form) and our legitimate interest in responding to genuine business enquiries.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. It is shared only with the service providers that help us run the site and respond to you:

• Web3Forms — processes form submissions and delivers them to our inbox by email.
• Google (Analytics / Tag Manager) — provides anonymised, aggregate usage analytics, only if you accept cookies.
• Calendly — if you choose to book a discovery call, Calendly processes the booking details under its own privacy policy.
• WhatsApp (Meta) — if you message us via the WhatsApp button, that conversation is subject to WhatsApp's own privacy policy.

Each of these providers is used solely to deliver the function you've engaged with — none of them are permitted to use your data for their own independent marketing.

5. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you and maintain a record of the business relationship — typically no longer than 3 years from your last contact with us, unless you ask us to delete it sooner, or we're required by law to keep it longer.

6. Cookies & analytics

We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. These only activate if you click "Accept" on the cookie banner — until then, no analytics or advertising cookies are set, in line with Google's Consent Mode. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser's site data and reloading the page.

7. Your rights under POPIA

You have the right to:

• Ask us what personal information we hold about you;
• Ask us to correct or update inaccurate information;
• Ask us to delete your information;
• Object to how we're using your information;
• Withdraw consent at any time (this won't affect anything already done with your consent up to that point).

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including using reputable third-party processors (rather than building our own unaudited storage) and restricting access to enquiry data to the people who need it to respond to you.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as the site or our processes change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
